Job summary

Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Beaufort, SC is hiring a Nursing Assistant to deliver compassionate direct patient care in a clinical setting, under nurse supervision. The role supports adults and pediatric patients, including neonates and adolescents, across 5T Medical/Surgical/Oncology units.

You will work nights in a full-time, non-exempt position requiring a high school diploma and BLS certification prior to first shift.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent with ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology.
• Previous experience preferred.
• BLS certification required prior to first clinical shift (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• The Nursing Assistant (NA) provides care for both adults and pediatric patients. The NA will provide direct patient care in the clinical setting under the supervision and delegation of the nurse.
• The nursing assistant performs assigned tasks in a timely, efficient and safe manner.

Position Requirements

Education:

• High school graduate or equivalent prefered, including ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology.

Experience:

• Previous experience preferred.

Certifications/Licenses:

• BLS certification required prior to first clinical shift (must be issued by the American Heart Association).
