Job summary

Inova Fairfax Medical Campus in Falls Church, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Overflow Unit. This full-time day position offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance.

The Overflow Unit cares for med/surg/telemetry patients with various diagnoses. You will provide holistic patient care, coordinate with the healthcare team, and support continuous quality improvement.

Requirements include BSN, 1 year RN experience, BLS, and Virginia RN licensure; telemetry experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN required; ADN must upgrade to BSN within 5 years.
• Experience: minimum 1 year RN clinical experience.
• Certification: BLS from American Heart Association.
• Licensure: Virginia RN license or multi-state license.
• Preferred: telemetry experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient health assessments and interprets data sets.
• Formulates individualized plans of care based on findings.
• Delivers patient- and family-centered care and coordinates transitions.
• Advocates for patients' rights and provides counseling when needed.
• Coordinates with disciplines to achieve desired outcomes and plans.
• Documents care activities and supports documentation standards.
• Evaluates outcomes and contributes to performance improvement.
• Assists with education and serves as a clinical resource when needed.
