Job description

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care for assigned patients
• Assess patients' physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs
• Review patient history, diagnostic and laboratory data, and report abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate, initiate, review and revise patient-specific plans of care, including discharge plans
• Provide direct patient care and coordinate, delegate and supervise healthcare team activities
• Provide care according to physician orders, nursing plans, policies, standards of care and regulatory requirements
• Evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching and revise plans as needed
• Document assessments, interventions, physician orders and patient responses accurately and promptly
• Participate in research activities, shared leadership, education, orientation, precepting and mentoring
• Contribute to nursing quality indicators and patient outcomes
• Interact with staff, physicians, patients, families, external contacts and other healthcare providers regarding patient care
• Support the Operating Room at Banner Del Webb Medical Center

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice
• BLS certification required
• Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice
• Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Experience must include working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area
• Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area through annual validations
• Professional certification preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Completion of post-offer Occupational Health physical assessment, drug screen and background check
• Background check includes employment, criminal and education verification
