Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care through the nursing process in Downers Grove, IL. You will deliver safe, therapeutic care per standards and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

The role requires IL RN licensure, BLS certification, and 1 year RN experience preferred. You must meet physical requirements and participate in shift coverage, including possible Saturdays, as needed.

Job description

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process
• Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
• Apply evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and communication skills
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Advocate for patient needs
• Uphold professional practice standards to promote optimal health outcomes
• Work scheduled clinic hours and provide possible Saturday coverage based on coverage needs

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience is preferred
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently
• Ability to lift and support 35 pounds
• Ability to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force
• Ability to perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present
• Functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch
• Fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions
• Ability to maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines
• Ability to perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed
• Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment as necessary when exposed to chemical and hazardous waste, blood and body fluids, and communicable disease
• Ability to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions
• Physical Abilities Testing may be required
• Additional department specific physical requirements may be identified
