• Completion of post-offer Occupational Health physical assessment, drug screen and background check
• Professional certification preferred
• Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care for assigned patients
• Review patient histories, diagnostics and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians
• Formulate and revise individualized plans of care, including discharge plans
• Provide direct patient care and coordinate, delegate and supervise healthcare team activities
• Evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching and revise care plans as needed
• Document assessments, interventions, evaluations, patient responses and physician orders accurately and timely
• Provide evidence-based care and participate in research, shared leadership, education, orientation, precepting and mentoring
• Contribute to nursing quality improvement and patient outcome initiatives
• Interact with staff, physicians, patients, families, external healthcare contacts and clergy regarding patient care
• May supervise departmental staff and workflow
