Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL is seeking a Perioperative Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations during the perioperative period. You will serve as a patient advocate and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safety and successful procedures.

The role requires nursing licensure in IL, BSN preferred, and CPR/BLS certification, with 2 years perioperative RN experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved school of nursing is required; BSN preferred.
• Licensed as an IL RN.
• CPR and BLS issued by American Heart Association.
• 2 years RN experience in perioperative care preferred.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients in the perioperative period.
• Act as patient advocate and ensure safety during the surgical procedure with the team.
• May orient new staff, support educational programs, and manage supplies/equipment.

Hourly Pay Range:

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

• Hours: 11a to 11:30p Tues/Thurs and Sat 7p to 7a with call requirements (Nights, Weekends included)

What you will do:

The Perioperative Registered nurse provides direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations during the perioperative period, using specialized knowledge and skills to achieve desired patient outcomes. The perioperative nurse functions as patient advocate. He/she assesses the surgical environment for potential patient safety concerns and intervenes appropriately while working with the surgical team to facilitate the completion of the surgical procedure. The Perioperative Registered nurse may assume responsibility for the orientation of new staff members, educational programs, and securing and maintaining supplies and equipment necessary for the delivery of care.

What you will need:

• Education: Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required. BSN preferred.
• License/Certification: IL RN License
• CPR BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Experience: 2 yrs RN experience in perioperative care - Preferred
• Basic Computer Skills
