Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Perioperative Registered Nurse in Evanston, IL for full-time night shifts with call requirements. You will deliver direct patient care across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations in the perioperative setting, acting as patient advocate and collaborating with the surgical team.

• Licensure: IL RN, CPR BLS (American Heart Association).
• Experience: 2 yrs RN perioperative experience preferred; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to perioperative patients (pediatric, adult, geriatric).
• Ensure patient safety and advocate for patients within the surgical team.
• Assist with orientation of new staff and manage supplies/equipment.

Hourly Pay Range:

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

• Hours: 11a to 11:30p Tues/Thurs and Sat 7p to 7a with call requirements (Nights, Weekends included)

What you will do:

The Perioperative Registered nurse provides direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations during the perioperative period, using specialized knowledge and skills to achieve desired patient outcomes. The perioperative nurse functions as patient advocate. He/she assesses the surgical environment for potential patient safety concerns and intervenes appropriately while working with the surgical team to facilitate the completion of the surgical procedure. The Perioperative Registered nurse may assume responsibility for the orientation of new staff members, educational programs, and securing and maintaining supplies and equipment necessary for the delivery of care.

What you will need:

• Education:
  • Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required. BSN preferred.
• License/Certification:
  • IL RN License
  • CPR BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Experience:
  • 2 yrs RN experience in perioperative care - Preferred
  • Basic Computer Skills
