Endeavor Health is seeking a Perioperative Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care across age groups during the perioperative period at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, IL. The role includes patient advocacy and collaboration with the surgical team to ensure safety and successful procedures.

Requirements include state-approved nursing education, IL RN license, CPR/BLS, and 2 years perioperative experience preferred. BSN is preferred; basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• The Perioperative Registered nurse provides direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients during the perioperative period.
• Act as patient advocate, assess surgical environment for safety, and intervene with the surgical team.
• May oversee orientation of new staff and educational programs; ensure supplies and equipment are secured and maintained.

Hourly Pay Range:

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

• Hours: 6:30a to 5p including call rotation

What you will do:

The Perioperative Registered nurse provides direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations during the perioperative period, using specialized knowledge and skills to achieve desired patient outcomes. The perioperative nurse functions as patient advocate. He/she assesses the surgical environment for potential patient safety concerns and intervenes appropriately while working with the surgical team to facilitate the completion of the surgical procedure. The Perioperative Registered nurse may assume responsibility for the orientation of new staff members, educational programs, andsecuring and maintaining supplies and equipment necessary for the delivery of care.

• Education:
  • Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required.BSN preferred.
• License/Certification:
  • IL RN License
  • CPR BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Experience:
  • 2 yrs RN experience in perioperative care - Preferred
  • Basic Computer Skills
