• Advocating for patients before, during, and after surgery.
• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient vital signs and conditions.
• Preparing the operating room, equipment, supplies, and medications.
• Verifying patient identity, surgical site, and documentation for procedures.
• Maintaining a sterile environment and assisting with patient positioning and safety.
• Monitoring patient status and communicating changes promptly.
• Documenting surgical procedures, medications, and supplies accurately.
• Assisting in postoperative care and ensuring proper transfer to recovery areas.
• Supporting infection control, safety standards, and participating in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications Include

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and current Illinois RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Strong critical-thinking, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of physiology, pharmacology, and perioperative procedures.
• Preferred experience in operating room or perioperative nursing.
