Ascension Saint Thomas DeKalb is seeking a Licensed Registered Nurse to join the Operating Room in Smithville, TN. This full-time day shift role focuses on leading care plans and coordinating across clinical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Candidates must hold a Tennessee nursing license or a multi-state Compact license and meet required certifications. The department promotes professional development and has a strong patient-centered care culture.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and continuous monitoring of personalized care plans, ensuring every patient receives a high standard of treatment tailored to their specific recovery goals.
• Coordinate care across multiple clinical disciplines, acting as the central hub for communication to ensure the entire healthcare team is aligned and working toward the best patient outcome.
• Assess and facilitate the patient’s journey from admission to discharge, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure a safe, seamless transition back to the community.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Coordinate care across multiple clinical disciplines, acting as the central hub for communication to ensure the entire healthcare team is aligned and working toward the best patient outcome.
• Assess and facilitate the patient’s journey from admission to discharge, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure a safe, seamless, and well-prepared transition back to the community.
• Communicate critical changes in patient condition to the medical team in real-time, providing the precise clinical insights necessary for rapid and accurate intervention.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required:
• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
