Job summary

Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, MD is seeking an experienced OR Nurse to support surgical services. You will function as scrub and circulator, partnering with surgeons to ensure safe, sterile procedures and optimal patient positioning.

The role requires an RN credential from Maryland, ALS and BLS within specified windows, and a nursing diploma or equivalent licensure. On-site role with comprehensive benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• RN credential from the Maryland Board of Nursing required prior to hire.
• Advanced Life Support within 180 days of hire or transfer date.
• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire or transfer date.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or equivalent licensure.

Responsibilities

• Execute scrub functions, including selection and sterile handling of instrumentation and supplies.
• Execute circulator functions, including monitoring, documentation, and real-time communication.
• Partner with surgeons to facilitate hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
• Oversee the preparation and sterilization of rooms, instruments, and high-tech equipment.
• Deliver nursing care with a focus on safety, sterility, and clinical outcomes.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

One or more of the following required:

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
