Job summary

McLeod Health in Florence, SC is seeking a Registered Nurse to assess patient needs, develop and implement age-appropriate nursing interventions, and coordinate care according to the plan of care. The role may involve floating to similar units as needed. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program and advanced resuscitative certification

• Advanced resuscitative certification appropriate to population if serving in a charge nurse role.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs based on history, examination, and diagnostics to plan age-appropriate nursing interventions.
• Foster an environment of care, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors.
• Utilize health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff.
• Apply standard work related to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
• Mentor and precept novice staff to support department performance.
• Support hospital-system initiatives and evidence-based nursing practices.
• Pursue ongoing professional growth by setting goals and participating in education offerings.
• Float to assist in other like units as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
