Job summary

McLeod Health is seeking a clinical RN to assess patient needs and implement age-appropriate nursing interventions across units. You will protect patients with proper safety equipment and adhere to quality indicators while mentoring new staff.

The role supports hospital initiatives and Evidence Based Practices, with occasional float to other units and a commitment to multi-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Previous RN experience REQUIRED.
• Advanced resuscitative certification appropriate to population if serving in a charge nurse role.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs based on history, observation, exam, and diagnostics and deliver age-appropriate nursing interventions.
• Utilize health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff.
• Apply standard work related to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
• Mentor novice staff and support department performance.
• Contribute to hospital-system initiatives and Evidence Based Practices.
• Float to assist in other units as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Utilizes standard work in relation to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
• Contributes to the overall performance of the department through precepting and mentoring novice employees.
• Contributes to the department growth and performance through hospital-system initiatives cultivating nursing involved Evidence Based Practices.
• Will float to assist in other like units as needed.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
