Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Advanced resuscitative certification appropriate to population if serving in a charge nurse role.
• RN license and Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs based on history, examination, and diagnostic data and provide age-appropriate nursing interventions.
• Foster caring, compassionate, and respectful environment for patients, families and visitors.
• Utilize health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff.
• Contribute to nursing quality indicators and standard work.
• Precept and mentor novice staff to support department performance.
• Engage in hospital-system initiatives promoting Evidence Based Practices.
• Demonstrate professional growth through goal setting and continuing education.
• Float to assist in other like units as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
