Job Summary

To act as a patient advocate, providing continuity of care designed to meet individual patient needs through collaboration with other members of the healthcare team and supporting the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the facility. Minimum Qualifications

Essential Functions
  • Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status

  • Implements care in a knowledgeable, skilled, and consistent manner to achieve patient outcomes
  • Establishes priorities based on patient needs and available resources
  • Performs efficiently in emergency situations following protocols, remaining calm and documenting events
  • Demonstrates knowledge in medical/surgical care, pain assessment, pharmaceuticals, laboratory values, safety, legal issues, and emergency equipment
  • Practices effective problem identification and resolution skills
  • Documents accurately and timely in patient records
  • Works collaboratively as part of a team
  • Maintains CPR/ACLS certification
  • Attends mandatory in-services and staff meetings
  • Adapts to new ideas and approaches flexibly
  • Treats all patients equally, adhering to Patient Rights policy
  • Reviews and executes physician orders professionally
  • Willing to assist with other duties as needed
Physical Demands

Requires sitting, conversing, listening, handling objects, reaching, and visual acuity. Must be able to lift over 20 pounds, push/pull over 25 pounds, and stand/walk for at least 10 hours daily. Reasonable accommodations can be made for disabilities.

Qualifications
