Position Details

Specialty: Transplant OR RN

Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of strong transplant experience

First-time Applicants: Accepted if they meet the experience requirement

Call Requirement: Yes – 40-60 hours per 6-week period

Float Requirement: Yes, must float to multi-specialty and all surgery areas

Local Candidates: Not accepted (Indiana residents excluded)

Pending License: Accepted if holding an Indiana license, temporary license, or compact license at start

Return to Office Restrictions: Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays

Shift Information

3 shifts of 12 hours each, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with weekends preferred.

Guaranteed Hours:

• 8 and 10 hour shifts – 40 hours in one workweek
• 3 shifts of 12 hours – 36 hours in one workweek
• 4 shifts of 12 hours – 48 hours in one workweek

Special Requirements

Experience in transplant nursing is mandatory, including kidney and liver transplant experience.

Unit Information

This unit exclusively handles abdominal transplants, including kidney, pancreas, liver, and intestinal/multi-visceral transplants.

Pediatric transplants are performed at a separate facility and are not included in this assignment.
