American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Transplant Operating Room position in Indianapolis, IN. Must have strong liver transplant experience and an active IN or compact RN license.

Entry includes travel assignment with 12-hour night shifts, call obligations, and potential holiday requirements. Cerner charting is used; locals accepted with potential pay structure differences.

Qualifications

• IN license active at start; compact acceptable if start within 2–4 weeks
• 2+ years transplant OR experience, liver transplant preferred
• BLS certification by AHA or RQI
• Regulatory Charting for Transplants certification required
• Graduate of ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Cerner charting experience required or ability to learn quickly
• First-time travelers accepted with 2 years of transplant experience

Responsibilities

• Operate in OR focused on abdominal transplants including kidney, pancreas, liver, and multi-visceral procedures
• Night shift, 3×12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Call required, totaling 40–60 hours per 6-week period
• Floating to multiple specialties and affiliate hospitals
• Cerner is used for charting and EMR documentation
• Free parking available
• Perioperative care for abdominal transplant procedures excluding pediatrics
• Must work at least 2 of 3 major holidays
• Return to work as traveler requires a 12-month gap after ending permanent or PRN employment
• Scrub color requirements per facility policy
• Locals accepted; different pay structure may apply
• Auto-approval for 5 days or less of requested time off
• Perioperative RN travelers exempt from local candidate restrictions

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room focused on abdominal transplants including kidney, pancreas, liver, and intestinal/multi-visceral procedures
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Call required, totaling 40-60 hours per 6-week period
• Floating required to multiple specialties and surgeries within the hospital and potentially to affiliate hospitals
• Cerner is used for charting and EMR documentation
• Free parking available
• Handle perioperative care for abdominal transplant procedures excluding pediatrics
• Must work at least 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Return to work as a traveler requires a 12-month gap after ending permanent or PRN employment at the facility
• Scrub color requirements apply as per facility policy
• Locals accepted; different pay structure may apply

Requirements
