Job summary

Heritage Valley Beaver in Beaver, PA seeks an experienced OR nurse for a full-time position. The role involves providing professional nursing care in the operating room per the Nurse Practice Act and OR protocols.

The candidate should have current Pennsylvania licensure, BLS, and OR or Interventional Radiology experience, with on-call and late shifts possible.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing.
• Current Pennsylvania licensure; other state licensure as required.
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS).
• Recent OR and/or Interventional Radiology experience.
• On-call and late shifts may be required based on operational needs.
• Successful completion of required clearances within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in the OR in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
• Maintain standards of care and practice within the scope of the department.
• Participate in on-call rotations including weekends and holidays.

Description

Department: OR, Work Hours: Full Time, 40 hours/wk, 80 hrs/pay. Primarily Monday through Friday day shift, (4) 10 hour shifts, with rotating call, including weekends and holidays.

Provides professional nursing care practicing legal nursing responsibilities as indicated by the Nurse Practice Act.

Requirements Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing, current Pennsylvania licensure, other state licensure as required. Basic Cardiac Life Support. Recent OR experience and/or Interventional Radiology experience. Based on operational needs, on-call and late shifts may be required. Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Preferred: Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing. Certification in this specialty area.
