Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Greater Manchester Region seeks a registered nurse to provide high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered care using the nursing process. You will coordinate patient care with the interdisciplinary team and communicate changes in condition quickly and clearly.

Qualified applicants must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with CT licensure, BCLS and ACLS at hire or within orientation, and NCLEX passage within 90 days for new grads.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with current CT licensure.
• Certification: Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support at hire or within orientation.
• NCLEX must be passed by 90 days after graduation for graduate nurses.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct and indirect patient-centered care.
• Coordinates patient care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Communicates patient condition changes quickly and accurately.
• Provides age-appropriate care across the lifespan; supports professional nursing practice.
• Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Utilizing the nursing process, provides high quality direct and indirect patient –centered care.

Coordinates patient care by working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.

Communicates, as appropriate, the patient's clinical condition, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide age appropriate care to the patient population served.

Promotes the profession of nursing and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current licensure in the State of Connecticut.Must have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification within the new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment.Graduate Nurse applicants must pass NCLEX by 90 days of graduation date.
