Job summary

Manchester Memorial Hospital, Inc. in Connecticut is seeking a registered nurse to provide high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered care using the nursing process.

You will coordinate patient care by collaborating with an interdisciplinary team and communicate changes in condition promptly. The role requires awareness of growth and development across the life span and a commitment to promoting nursing practice through teamwork, reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with current CT licensure.
• BLS and ACLS certification required on hire or during orientation.
• Able to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrates competent use of basic computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate patient care by collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.
• Communicate, promptly and accurately, changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
• Demonstrate age-appropriate care per growth and development across the life span.
• Promote nursing and professional practice, reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Utilizing the nursing process, provides high quality direct and indirect patient –centered care.

Coordinates patient care by working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.

Communicates, as appropriate, the patient's clinical condition, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide age appropriate care to the patient population served.

Promotes the profession of nursing and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current licensure in the State of Connecticut.Must have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification within the new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment.Graduate Nurse applicants must pass NCLEX by 90 days of graduation date.
