Job summary

Manchester Memorial Hospital, Inc. is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct and indirect patient-centered care within the Greater Manchester Region of Hartford HealthCare.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team to respond quickly to changes in patient conditions and support professional nursing practice. The role requires CT licensure, BLS/ACLS certification upon hire or within orientation, and NCLEX completion within 90 days of graduation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with current CT licensure.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required on hire or within orientation.
• Must pass NCLEX by 90 days after graduation.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes nursing process to provide high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered care.

Utilizing the nursing process, provides high quality direct and indirect patient –centered care.

Coordinates patient care by working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.

Communicates, as appropriate, the patient's clinical condition, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide age appropriate care to the patient population served.

Promotes the profession of nursing and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current licensure in the State of Connecticut.Must have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification within the new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment.Graduate Nurse applicants must pass NCLEX by 90 days of graduation date.
