Job summary

Manchester Memorial Hospital, a Hartford HealthCare facility in the Greater Manchester Region, seeks an RN to provide patient-centered care. You will coordinate care, communicate patient status, and work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely, effective responses to changes in condition.

Eligible candidates are graduates from an accredited nursing program with CT licensure and BCLS/ACLS within orientation; NCLEX must be passed by day 90.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with current CT licensure.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire or within orientation period; maintain competency.
• NCLEX must be passed by 90 days after graduation.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality direct and indirect patient-centered care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate patient care by collaborating with interdisciplinary team.
• Communicate patient condition promptly and accurately to changes or responses to treatment.
• Demonstrate growth and development knowledge to deliver age-appropriate care.
• Promote nursing profession through collegial support; report to Clinical Nurse Manager.

Utilizing the nursing process, provides high quality direct and indirect patient –centered care.

Coordinates patient care by working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.

Communicates, as appropriate, the patient's clinical condition, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide age appropriate care to the patient population served.

Promotes the profession of nursing and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current licensure in the State of Connecticut.Must have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification within the new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment.Graduate Nurse applicants must pass NCLEX by 90 days of graduation date.
