Job summary

Ascension welcomes qualified Registered Nurses to join the Saint Thomas Midtown Observation team in Nashville, TN. This full-time night-shift role focuses on implementing patient care plans, coordinating multidisciplinary care, and ensuring accurate nursing orders are carried out.

You will assess discharge needs with the healthcare team and contribute to a supportive patient experience in a leading Catholic health system.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date; IH/ACCEPTED by AHA or Red Cross.
• Registered Nurse credentialed by the Tennessee Board of Nursing prior to hire date.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or equivalent professional licensure.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care for well-coordinated patient outcomes.
• Document and execute physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What minimum qualifications you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
