Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a Night Shift Registered Nurse for the Observation Med Surg unit. You will deliver high-quality direct nursing care, adhere to physician orders and clinical protocols to ensure safe, evidence-based treatment.

This role acts as the central clinical coordinator for the multidisciplinary team, guiding care plans and providing real-time updates. You will support discharge planning and participate in Ascension's ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: RN credentials and BLS required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or equivalent professional licensure.
• Experience in nursing care and patient coordination preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality direct nursing care by executing physician orders and clinical protocols to ensure every patient receives safe, evidence-based treatment.
• Serve as the central clinical coordinator for the multidisciplinary team, managing the implementation of care plans and providing real-time updates on patient condition.
• Facilitate a seamless transition through the healthcare system by assessing discharge needs and collaborating with the team to prepare patients for their next stage of recovery.

What minimum qualifications you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
