Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast in Destin, FL is seeking an experienced Nursing Education professional to assess, plan and evaluate clinical education across the continuum of care, partnering with leaders to close gaps and develop competency-based programs.

You will design and implement Nursing Professional Development (NPD) programs, ensure staff compliance with licensure, and drive measurement of learning goals and outcomes, while supporting a culture of service and growth.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider required within 1 month of hire date.
• Registered Nurse credentialed by Florida Board of Nursing prior to hire date.
• Diploma in Nursing from an accredited program is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and evaluate clinical educational activities across the continuum of care.
• Partner with organizational leaders to identify educational gaps and develop plans.
• Analyze, design, and implement Nursing Professional Development programs and measure outcomes.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Assess, plan, and evaluate clinical educational activities across the continuum of care, serving as a strategic consultant for nursing performance initiatives and competency-based programming.
• Partner with organizational leaders and clinical staff to identify educational gaps and develop multi-faceted plans that address both core nursing competencies and specialized clinical needs.
• Analyze, design, and implement Nursing Professional Development (NPD) programs, utilizing precise measurement tools and data-driven methods to evaluate the achievement of learning goals and clinical outcomes.
• Manage and oversee competency standards for inter-professional programs, ensuring all clinical staff practice at the highest extent of their licensure while maintaining organizational compliance.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted required.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

Work Experience:

• Required professional licensure at time of hire.
