Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast in Destin, FL seeks a Night Shift Registered Nurse to join the Float Team, delivering direct nursing care and coordinating multi-disciplinary patient care from 7pm to 7am.

You’ll implement care plans, document patient status, and collaborate with physicians and the health care team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Requires Florida RN license and BLS within 30 days; a nursing diploma is acceptable; pro-rated PTO and growth opportunities included.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date or job transfer date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing prior to hire date required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or equivalent professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a diverse healthcare environment in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition to the team.
• Serve as a coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders and coordinate patient care needs with the healthcare team.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross accepted.

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire dateor job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board ofNursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtainedprior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time ofhire required.
