Job summary

The registered nurse provides independent and complex care in Medsurg, Telemetry, and Intermediate Care settings, following patient treatment plans and nursing standards. They assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, addressing psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs. The nurse administers medications, monitors treatment effectiveness, documents patient information, and educates patients and families. They use critical thinking to develop and modify care plans, ensure patient safety, and promote quality outcomes. The role includes managing patient flow, overseeing unit operations, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. The nurse also demonstrates proficiency with clinical policies, health information systems, medical equipment, and safety procedures, collaborating effectively within healthcare teams.
