Job summary

Mission Regional Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care using the nursing process from assessment through evaluation. The role includes directing patient/family teaching, coordinating with nursing staff, and ensuring high-quality care across shifts.

You must hold a current RN license, BCLS at hire, and NRP within 30 days of hire. This is a full-time day-shift position with a strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and compassionate

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license issued by the State.
• BCLS required at hire and maintained.
• NRP certification within 30 days of hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards.
• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
• Maintains a safe environment for patients and visitors.
• Uses the chain of command to ensure patient well-being through discharge.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.�

The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.�

Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.�

Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.�

Provides for a safe environment for patients and visitors.�

Utilizes the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care from post delivery stabilization through discharge.
