Job summary

Mission Regional Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care on the Medical/Surgical Unit. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care while guiding patient/family teaching and supervising staff.

The role requires an active state RN license, BLS, and ACLS within 30 days; BSN preferred and ventilator management experience are highly valued. Previous acute care experience is a plus. Days shift, part-time status.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certification upon hire with ongoing renewal.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire is preferred.
• BSN degree is preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate).

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He / She communicates with physician about changes in the patient?s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.4.
