Job summary

Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center is seeking an experienced RN to join the Nursery/Family Care Unit on a night shift, full-time basis. You will provide comprehensive nursing care to healthy and at-risk newborns, monitor mothers and infants, and support families through labor, delivery, and postpartum transition.

Collaborate with obstetric teams to ensure safe outcomes with evidence-based care in a compassionate, family-centered setting.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the appropriate state is required.
• One year relevant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to healthy and at-risk newborns during transition, stabilization, hospitalization, and discharge.
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, recognizing and responding to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with OB providers, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the birthing and postpartum experience.
• Advocate for individualized, patient-centered birth plans while ensuring evidence-based care.

• Schedule: 7 pm - 7 am, Night Shift, Full-Time


• Department: Family Care Unit (Nursery)


• Location: Brunswick Medical Center


• Skills: Seeking Level II NICU Experience to support our youngest Neonates

What You'll Do

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to healthy and at-risk newborns during transition, stabilization, hospitalization, and discharge.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.


• Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.


• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
