Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in Phoenix to coordinate patient care, educate patients and families, and ensure smooth transitions of care. The RN will work within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, providing leadership and mentoring as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires graduation from a baccalaureate nursing program, valid RN license, and ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. BLS competency and hospital-based experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends, and on-call.
• Adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting.
• Demonstrated leadership, effective communicator, and excellent critical thinking skills.
• Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
• Arizona BLS competency required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care and education.

• Provide leadership through preceptor roles and quality improvement efforts.
