Job summary

AdventHealth Apopka is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join our night shift team in Florida. The role coordinates patient care across PACU, inpatient units, Radiology, and anesthesia, develops care plans, and ensures timely, high-quality patient outcomes.

You will collaborate with physicians and staff, supervise nursing assistants, educate patients and families, and participate in quality improvement to uphold AdventHealth's standards of care.

Qualifications

• : Must use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care.
• : Basic computer skills – navigate Windows-based programs.
• : Supervision experience and skills required.
• : Maintains current license and knowledge of nursing care requirements for all patients on the unit.
• : Demonstrates ability to identify problems and implement solutions with follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care across PACU, inpatient units, Radiology, and anesthesia.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessments and orders.
• Monitor patient progress, assess and document progress, and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and other providers for coordinated care.
• Manage daily schedules and endoscopy staffing and ensure staffing/equipment availability.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and health management.
