Job summary

Spanish Cove Retirement Village is seeking an experienced RN Charge Nurse for our Long-Term Care department. The role requires managing and coordinating nursing care for residents, with focus on quality and compliance.

The position offers evening hours (5:45pm–6:15am), weekends and holidays, and a path for advancement. Benefit options include medical/dental/vision, retirement matching, PTO, and education support.

Qualifications

• Active State of Oklahoma RN license.
• Willingness to work weekends & holidays.
• Ability to lift/move up to 100 lb.
• Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent; nursing degree required.
• Hoyer lift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care and coordinate total nursing care for residents.
• Implement procedures and programs to meet goals with the director of nursing.
• Determine work procedures and expedite workflow.
• Ensure compliance with policies and health regulations.
• Communicate with and supervise appropriate personnel and provide daily/periodic reports.
• Perform CNA/CMA duties when required.

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Charge Nurse

Department: Long-Term Care

Pay Rate: $34- $36 (Based off level of experience)

Hours: 5:45pm- 6:15am (3- days a week, Rotating days during the week with every other weekend. This position will work weekends and holidays, no exceptions)

The charge nurse position is responsible for:

• Performing a variety of duties to provide quality nursing care to residents and to coordinate total nursing care for residents
• Implementing specific procedures and programs
• Participating with the director of nursing and the ADON in establishing specific goals
• Determining work procedures and expediting workflow
• Ensuring compliance with all operating policies and procedures and Oklahoma Department of Health regulations and Federal Health Care Administration regulations
• Communicating with and supervising appropriate personnel
• Providing daily reports and other periodic reports
• Performing all the duties of a certified nursing assistant and CMA when required

Qualifications

• Have an active State of Oklahoma RN License.
• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills.
• Must be able to work weekends & holidays.
• Frequent lifting & moving. Must have the ability to lift, move, push, pull, & transfer 100 lbs with the physical capability to perform all job-related duties.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
