Job summary

Spanish Cove Retirement Village in Yukon, OK is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to join our Long-Term Care team. Shifts are 5:45am-6:15pm, 3 days a week with rotating days and every other weekend.

Pay rate ranges from $16.50 to $17.50 per hour, with benefits. You will provide personal hygiene assistance, help with medications and mobility, assist with meals and daily activities, and participate in rehabilitation exercises.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as Caregiver/CNA/HHA or completion of CNA program preferred.
• Must be able to lift and transfer up to 100 lbs.
• Available to work weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation daily.
• Compassionate, patient-focused and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly residents (showering, bathing, dressing, eating).
• Assist with medications and accompany ambulation as needed.
• Support mobility for appointments and activities outside the home.
• Plan and prepare meals for residents.
• Assist with prescribed physical therapy exercises.
• Complete shopping or accompany residents on errands.
• Perform housekeeping duties as required.
• Report incidents promptly and respond to emergencies.
• Support daily living activities including meals and related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals
• Assist with physical therapy exercises
• Complete client’s shopping or accompanies them to do so successfully
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Must be able to work weekends & holidays.
• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills.
• Frequent lifting & moving. Must have the ability to lift, move, & transfer 100 lbs with the physical capability to perform all job-related duties.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
