Job summary

Spanish Cove Retirement Village is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for its Memory Care department. The role runs 12-hour shifts from 5:45am to 6:15pm, with weekends and holidays required and a pay rate of $15.50 per hour.

The CNA will provide personal care, assist with medications and mobility, support daily living activities, and help residents maintain independence in a caring, respectful environment. Benefits include PTO, health coverage, and education opportunities.

Qualifications

• Weekend and holiday availability required.
• Experience in caregiving preferred.
• Must be able to lift 100 lbs with physical capability.
• High school diploma or equivalent; CNA training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for residents, including showering, bathing, dressing and feeding.
• Help residents take prescribed medications and assist with ambulation.
• Assist with mobility and transportation to appointments or activities.
• Plan and assist with meals and nutrition.
• Support with physical therapy exercises as prescribed.
• Complete shopping or accompany residents for errands.
• Perform housekeeping duties and maintain a clean living area.
• Report unusual incidents and respond promptly in emergencies.
• Engage residents with daily living activities and social participation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals
• Assist with physical therapy exercises
• Complete client’s shopping or accompanies them to do so successfully
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that areessential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Frequent lifting & moving. Must have the ability to lift, move, & transfer 100lbs with the physical capability to perform all job‑related duties.
