Job summary

Henry Ford Staffing, a system-wide contingent float pool within Henry Ford Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse to work nights on a contingent basis. Nurses float between designated hospitals across Detroit-area locations, providing care in multiple units and specialties.

Ideal candidates will have a nursing degree, Michigan RN licensure, and 2–3 years of related experience, with willingness to float to several sites. Flexible scheduling and premium pay are highlighted benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• 2-3 years of recent related clinical nursing experience.
• Willingness to float to multiple locations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Responsibilities

• Handle nursing problems and interventions across a variety of nursing situations.
• Identify patient problems prior to explicit changes in patient data collection.
• Assist in developing and updating patient care plans and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.

** GENERAL SUMMARY:**

Under general supervision, demonstrates ability to handle nursing problems and, in general, an expanded group of nursing practices. Performs nursing intervention across a variety of nursing situations. Identifies patient problems prior to explicit changes in patient-specific data collection (such as vital signs).

** EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:**

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Two to three (2-3) years of recent related clinical nursing experience in the area of practice and a demonstrated level of performance required.
• Willingness to float to multiple locations.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

** CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:**

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
• Current BLS
• Current NRP
• TB, vaccines (i.e., flu)
