Job summary

Medical City Arlington is seeking a Registered Nurse in the NICU on a PRN basis. The NICU RN will deliver professional care, perform assessments, and manage patient needs in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities include supervision of staff or students, acting as a preceptor, and serving as charge nurse when required. Candidates must have an RN license with NICU experience and complete required certifications promptly.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitation must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
• 1+ year in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Required
• 2+ Years in an Acute Care NICU preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to NICU patients following Nursing Process
• Perform patient assessments and acuity assignments with appropriate care planning
• Supervise nursing personnel and/or students as assigned
• Serve as preceptor and/or charge nurse when needed
• Deliver age-appropriate care considering patient condition

Job Summary and Qualifications

The NICU Registered Nurse delivers professional nursing care to all patients in NICU. You will perform assessment and acuity assignment; follows standard of care utilizing Nursing Process in delivery of care; maintains accountability for professional decisions and actions. Daily assignment of an RN may include supervision of other nursing personnel and/or students. Function as a preceptor and ability to function as a charge nurse. The employee performs all services as they may relate to patient care/treatment with consideration for age/condition of patient.

What qualifications you will need:
