Job summary

Medical City Arlington NICU is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join the night shift with rotating weekend coverage. You will deliver specialized respiratory care to neonates, perform assessments and acuity assignments, and collaborate with a skilled NICU team.

An Associate Degree plus state RN/RRT credentials and NICU experience are required, with ACLS/BLS/NRP due within prescribed timelines. Join a compassionate, high-quality care environment within the HCA Healthcare network.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
• Neonate Resuscitation within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS within 60 months of employment start date.
• State-registered respiratory therapist credential and NICU experience.
• 1+ year as an RRT in NICU setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional respiratory care to NICU patients.
• Perform assessments and acuity assignments per nursing process.
• Supervise other nursing personnel and students as needed.
• Function as preceptor and charge nurse when required.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The NICU Registered Respiratory Therapist delivers professional nursing care to all patients in NICU. Performs assessment and acuity assignment; follows standard of care utilizing Nursing Process in delivery of care; maintains accountability for professional decisions and actions. Daily assignment of an RN may include supervision of other nursing personnel and/or students. Function as a preceptor and ability to function as a charge nurse. The employee performs all services as they may relate to patient care/treatment with consideration for age/condition of patient.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
