Nexus MedPro Staffing Inc. seeks an experienced NICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Wilmington, North Carolina.

The position is for NICU patients in a Level III setting with a 36-hour work week and night shifts (3x12s) on a 6:45 PM–7:15 AM schedule. Requirements include a minimum of 2 years NICU experience with Level III patients, BLS and NRP certifications, and willingness to participate in storm/hurricane teams if needed.

Competenze

Mansioni

Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Job Details

• Specialty: NICU.
• Facility: Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
• Location: Wilmington, NC.
• Start Date: November 30, 2026.
• Contract Length: 13 weeks.
• Schedule: Nights, 3x12s.
• Shift: 6:45 PM–7:15 AM.
• Hours: 36 hours/week.
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,086/week.
• Employment Type: Travel Contract.

Requirements

• Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years – Experience with Level III NICU patients required.
• Traveler Experience: NOT REQUIRED.
• Professional Skills: Developmental care, patient/family teaching, phlebotomy, thermoregulation, family-centered care, experience working in a private room setting.
• Certs: BLS, NRP.
• Preferred – Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.

Assignment Details

• IV Therapy: Administration of blood and blood products, arterial line management, central line blood draws, central/implanted line care, PICC lines, starting and maintaining IVs, UAC/UVC management.
• Preferred – Insulin administration, gastroschisis/omphalocele management, post-abdominal surgery care.
• Preferred – High-frequency ventilation, chest tube management, meconium aspiration, nitric oxide (iNO).
• Preferred – Epic documentation experience preferred.
• Ratios: 1:2–3.
• Float Requirement: Yes – Mother/Baby, Labor, Pediatrics to care for appropriate patients.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
• Patient population includes critically ill neonates requiring Level III NICU care.
• Documentation: Epic.
