Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking an experienced PICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Wilmington, North Carolina.

This nights rotation is 36 hours per week (3x12s) at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center, with requirements including 2 years PICU experience, traveler credentials, BLS and PALS; ACLS preferred. Epic documentation experience is a plus.

Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking an experienced PICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Job Details

• Specialty: PICU.
• Facility: Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
• Location: Wilmington, NC.
• Start Date: November 30, 2026.
• Contract Length: 13 weeks.
• Schedule: Nights, 3x12s.
• Shift: 6:45 PM–7:15 AM.
• Hours: 36 hours/week.
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,113/week.
• Employment Type: Travel Contract.

Requirements

• Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years.
• Traveler Experience: REQUIRED.
• Work Settings: PICU experience required.
• Certs: BLS, PALS.
• Preferred – Certifications: ACLS.
• Preferred – Professional Skills: Infection control/PPE, vaccine administration, wound assessment/care.
• Preferred – Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.

Assignment Details

• Preferred – Gastrointestinal: Insulin administration, insulin pumps, management of gastric tubes, NG tube insertion/management.
• Preferred – Documentation: Epic experience preferred.
• Ratios: 1:2.
• Float Requirement: Yes.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
• Trauma (MVC, GSW, near drowning).
• Documentation: Epic.
