Job summary

Ascension is seeking a dedicated NICU nurse to join the team at Ascension St. Vincent Carmel in Carmel, IN. This full-time night position requires 12-hour shifts three times weekly with every fourth weekend.

You will provide direct patient care within established policies, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and assist with discharge planning. The role requires active Indiana RN licensure, a nursing diploma, and BLS certification obtained within 30 days of hire.

Location: Carmel, IN

Facility: Ascension St. Vincent Carmel

Department/Specialty: NICU

Schedule: Full Time Night | Three 12 hour shifts per week and every 4th weekend

How you'll make an impact in this role

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
• Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program preferred.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

What additional requirements you'll need

Must have at least 3 yrs experience in a level lll NICU.
