Job summary

MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick in Cleveland is seeking a dedicated RN to join the Neuroscience Center, 6 West. You will perform detailed neurological assessments, manage ICP monitoring, titrate medications, and coordinate care for patients with stroke and neurocritical conditions.

The role collaborates with LPNs, PCNAs, providers and rehab teams. Required Ohio RN licensure and BLS; BSN and Magnet-recognized certification are preferred. MetroHealth offers strong benefits and OPERS retirement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Ohio RN licensure.
• Current AHA BLS for healthcare providers certification, or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed neurological assessments.
• Manage ICP monitoring and neurocritical care.
• Titrate medications and manage drains, vents, and telemetry.

Bi-weekly Hours: 72.00

Shift: 7a-7p/7p-7a; Rotating weekends, Rotating holidays

Primary Patient Population:

• Adult
• Ischemic/Hemorrhagic Strokes
• Status Epilepticus
• Encephalitis
• Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
• Intracranial Hemorrhage
• Stroke
• Minor Neurological Disorders

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• Detailed Neurological assessments
• ICP Monitoring
• Medication titration
• Managing surgical drains, mechanical ventilators, body temperature, & CRRT
• Neurological patient care; NIHSS Certification for Stroke care
• Telemetry monitoring
• Time management, critical thinking, delegating
• Seizure disorder monitoring/ care

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, Respiratory Therapy, Social Work, Speech Therapy, PT, OT, Dietary

Number of beds on unit:

• 24 beds
