Job summary

HealthPartners is seeking a MICU RN for Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater, MN. You will assess, plan, perform, and document critical nursing care while guiding unlicensed personnel and supporting providers.

A focus on safety, therapeutic environment, and effective communication with patients and families is essential. Required include Associate Degree in Nursing, RN licensure in MN or WI, BLS and ACLS, NIHSS training within 6 months, and at least 1 year of critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• RN license MN or WI (Minnesota Board of Nursing or Wisconsin) required.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC required.
• ACLS certification required.
• Stroke care NIHSS to be completed within 6 months of start date.
• Minimum 1 year RN critical care (ICU or ED) experience required.

Responsibilities

Job description

As a MICU RN, you will assess, plan, perform, document, and evaluate professional independent nursing practice at Lakeview Hospital; to provide work direction for and oversight of the nursing care provided by unlicensed personnel; to perform and document functions such as carrying out the provider’s medical orders; to assist providers with diagnostic and treatment procedures; to provide a safe and therapeutic environment; to coordinate, communicate, interpret, and explain patient care services to the patient, his/her family, health professionals and important others; to perform related duties as assigned.

Work Schedule

.6 FTE - Overnight shift with every other weekend (8-hour shifts)

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Licensed as a RN by Minnesota Board of Nursing or has a Wisconsin RN License and Minnesota Boarder State Registry.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider)
• Current ACLS certification.
• Stroke Care (NIHSS) required within 6 months of start date.
• Minimum one year RN critical care (ICU or ED) experience required

Preferred Qualifications

• Baccalaureate or Master’s degree in Nursing
• Associate Degree prepared nurses enrolled in Baccalaureate in Nursing program.
• Telemetry experience.
