Job summary

Lakeview Hospital in Minnesota is seeking a MICU RN to assess, plan, perform, document, and evaluate professional nursing care in a critical care setting, while providing direction to unlicensed staff and supporting providers with orders and procedures.

The role requires an ADN, MN (or WI with MN registry) RN license, BLS and ACLS, NIHSS within 6 months, and at least 1 year of ICU/ED experience. 0.6 FTE overnight with every other weekend, onsite.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing.
• RN license Minnesota or Wisconsin with registry.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Stroke Care NIHSS within 6 months of start date.
• Minimum one year RN critical care (ICU or ED) experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent nursing practice in MICU.
• Oversee nursing care provided by unlicensed personnel.
• Carry out provider orders and assist with procedures.
• Provide a safe, therapeutic environment for patients.
• Coordinate and communicate patient care with families and health professionals.
