Job summary

Ascension Health is hiring an RN for Med Surg at the Ascension Seton Northwest facility in Austin, TX. This full-time night-shift role focuses on coordinating patient care across disciplines, monitoring conditions, and executing physician and nursing orders.

You will participate in discharge planning and ensure seamless communication among care teams. Minimum requirements include a Texas RN license and BLS certification within 1 month of hire.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited nursing program or a related bachelor’s with an active RN license and enrollment in an Alternate Entry Masters of Science in Nursing program.
• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing prior to hire date.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required OR a bachelors level degree not in nursing, an active RN License, and enrolled in an Alternate Entry Masters of Science in Nursing Program with a minimum of 1 year in the program completed.
