Job summary

Lowell General Hospital is seeking a Community RN to join our Care Pathway. The role spans four levels based on RN experience, with 36-hour weeks on day shift, and weekend/holiday coverage at our Main Campus.

The RN provides direct nursing care to patients and families in accordance with physician orders, with a focus on assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient’s plan of care. Massachusetts RN licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN Licensure is required.
• Current BLS Certification is required.
• Department-specific certifications may be required depending on the department.
• Experience level varies by RN level (I–IV).
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients and families per physician orders.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Develop and implement patient care plans and discharge planning.
• Support professional staff through precepting and mentorship.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to policies and ensure patient safety and quality care.
