St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Massachusetts is seeking a registered nurse (RN) to deliver nursing care on the Medical Surgical units. You will assess, plan, intervene, educate patients, and communicate with the health care team and families.

Requirements include a nursing degree (Diploma/ASN/BSN with ability to obtain BSN within 4 years), MA RN license, BLS, ACLS within 90 days, PCC certification within 1 year, and 1+ year RN experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN; ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• Licensed RN in Massachusetts.
• BLS required; ACLS within 90 days of hire; PCC certification within 1 year of hire.
• 1+ years of RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in Medical Surgical units, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records; enter and interpret computerized data.
• Follow SEMC nursing guidelines and participate in quality improvement projects.
