Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is seeking a Full-time RN for the 12 Hour Evening Shift in New Hampton, IA. The role delivers direct and indirect patient care in Medical and Surgical units, guiding care plans and discharge planning with a focus on evidence-based practice.

You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, document accurately in EMR, and support process improvements while remaining adaptable to a changing healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a program in professional nursing.
• Current RN licensure in Iowa or equivalent required.
• Completion of Telemetry or equivalent within 3 months of hire.
• Experience with computer software; willingness to learn new software.
• Ability to work flexible hours; BLS certification required.
• Complete Mandatory Reporting: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct/indirect patient care in Medical and Surgical areas.
• Develops and updates patient care plans with discharge planning components.
• Communicates patient changes to the team and delegates care as appropriate.
• Documents patient information accurately in EMR/paper records at bedside.
• Supports technology and process changes; learns new systems as needed.
• Assists in Emergency Room as needed and mentors staff as directed.
