Job summary

BMC Brighton, part of Boston Medical Center Health Systems, is seeking a registered nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care in the Medical Surgical unit. You will assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, evaluate, and educate patients, while collaborating with the care team and families.

MA RN license required with BLS; ACLS within 90 days of hire and PCC certification within 1 year. Prior RN experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in Medical-Surgical units, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation and patient education.

• Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues; update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMCHS nursing organization.
• Assist leadership with quality improvement projects.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN, Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

• Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Certification in basic life support (BLS) required
• Advanced Cardiac Life support(ACLS) certification required 90 days of hire
• PCC Certification required within 1 year of hire

EXPERIENCE:

• 1+ years of RN experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
• Basic computer proficiency

Compensation Range:

$39.80- $93.69

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer.
