Regions Hospital is hiring a patient-focused Registered Nurse for our Med/Surg Unit, a newly opened 12-bed unit serving inpatient medical, surgical and cardiac telemetry patients. Our team delivers evidence-based care in a Level I Trauma Center.

The Shared Governance Model empowers nurses to manage practice and environment; we value diversity and compassionate patient care. Typical schedule is 0.60 Nights, 12-hour shifts, every 3rd weekend.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN with 1 year RN experience.
• Minnesota RN license.
• CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers.

Job description

Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg Unit and make a difference for our patients and our community.

This unit is a newly opened 12 private bed med-surg unit focused on inpatient medical surgical and cardiac telemetry patients. Therefore, our unit provides a widespread knowledge and experience base for our nurses.

We are known for saving lives in our Level I Trauma Center, and our nursing staff are key to the exceptional care we provide each patient. As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice. Work Schedule:

0.60 Nights. All 12 hour shifts; every 3rd weekend

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or Associate Degree in Nursing and 1 year of RN experience
• Internal new graduate applicants can meet minimum requirements with an Associate Degree in Nursing
• Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota
• CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers
• Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and strong ability to work with a wide range of patients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire
• One year of acute careRN experience isstrongly preferred
• ICU RN experience is strongly preferred
